A HOMAGE TO OUR PATRON SAINT, ST. MARY MAGDALENE!

St. Mary Magdalene: One of the most important disciples of Christ who has faced the controversies of history from the Church to the scrutinizing socio-anthropological critics.
TITLE:                  THE PROJECT M 2012: THE CREATION 
                                 OF THE ST. MARY MADELEINE CAUCUS
COVERAGE/SITE:           
                        Municipality of Hinigaran, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental
                        Parish of St. Mary Madeleine, Hinigaran, Negros                                         Occidental

LOCATION:               St. Mary Madeleine Academy

OBJECTIVES:      
       This project adheres to the following general objective titles:

                                    a.    HERITAGE. This is towards the preservation and conservation of the cultural senses in the locality.  It has been evaluated that the historical senses of our people are lesser a time goes by.  With the continuous reinforcement of an information provider in a center, we can easily deliver the needs of these lapses among our people triggering the academic, government and religious sector;
                                    b.    EVANGELIZATION.  Primarily, is the main concern of the whole project. It is the core of the objectives to fully create a certain vessel that will help equipped our people Christian Values, the Good News in Biblical directions and Christian traditions or practices;
                                    c.    CULTURAL AND ARTS. This objective satisfies the provision of another avenue for artistic and cultural exposition.  These to objectives is expected to achieve of making the municipality a TRUE center of cultural arts with high sense of aesthetic  value in good taste, competent technical knowledge, hands-on communal organizational perspective and compassion for brotherhood and community service;
                                    d.    SELF-RELIANCE FOR SUSTAINABILITY.  It has been an accepted fact  that all centers have stopped operations because of financial funding, we envision that the center will be ensured to prolong its existence by providing a component that will provide financial lifeblood for its basic needs and the purpose of realizing its vision.

                                    e.   DOCUMENTATION AND RESEARCH.  The caucus will ensure also the magnificence and surety of its future by continuously provide dependable archives that will devout to the historic-cultural level in satisfaction of its future clients;
                                    f.     TRANSPARANCY TO CAPTURE LOCAL TRUST.  Since the center will be a continual campaign for volunteerism, one strong objective is to provide transparent information to its wide benefactors and clienteles.  This will be a very good strategic move to support the objective in Section D that is SELF-RELIANCE FOR SUSTAINABILITY;
                                    g.   GLOBAL-TRENDING READY AND NETWORKING CAPABLE.  This component in its objective will suggest the capacity of the project to reach out internet community in competency for its advertising, marketing and linkage-system readiness.  This will make the Evangelization and Heritage objectives come to reality  reaching Hinigaranons go  across different countries around the globe.  Thus, making this a true center with magnanimous reaching capacity---GLOBAL!
                                    H.  VOLUNTEERISM.  Creation a melting pot of volunteers whose capacity, ability and talent will converge in one roof for the betterment of a Heritage Centers that will house global, competent and quality showcase of Hinigaranon’s identity as people;

INTRODUCTION:
                                    Inspired with the great potentials emanated from the values of oneness and unity among the heart of our Hinigaran people, we were able to see behind these potentials the various initiatives possible that will flourish.  With the information that continuously evolved amidst the changing time, we cannot deny the fact the competency and call for actions are called forth.   And in these precepts also we initiated to put a kindling fire to kick off a vision that will preserve the untold heritage of the locality.  In the hospice of St. Mary Madeleine Academy, the seedbed of the evangelization in the municipality, have taken the first step of conceptualizing a focus project that will later on integrates the culture, arts and heritage of the Hinigaranons.  Initially, with the passion of Mrs. Joanna G. Canincia, of putting up a museum-like heritage center to house the different clothing of the iconic patron saint, St. Mary Madeleine. 
            But, upon evaluation and constant consultation among the people, we will able to realize this project to integrate a well-balanced environment that truly delivers the objectives mentioned hereto. 

RATIONALE:
                                    The vision of this project is undeniably integrated and well-balanced making it the noblest in its objectives, the volunteers behind this project are suggesting to make things clear in its concern by making it as a caucus.  Caucus that will eventually a one-voiced arm that will help in the preservation and conservation of the heritage center.  And in its initiative, we are actually formally announcing volunteers to evangelize the objectives of the caucus among its beneficiaries by making its formal opening on July 21, 2012, on the festivity of the Patron Saint, the opening of the campaign.

                                    It is very important to do this so that we can make things come across to the world the truest meaning of this pending legacy for our people from today.
THE BI-CENTENNIAL CHURCH OF HINIGARAN, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL.  The long-existing church that needs great documentation to capture its rich heritage is finally coming to a certain course

PHASINGS:
                        The different phases of this project will be as follows:

                        PHASE ONE:  CAMPAIGN
                       
·        Opening of all the accounts in different social networking sites; Facebook, Twitter, Multiply and Bloggers.com;
·        Launching of the official blogspot;
·        Launching of the official email address and linkages;
·        Official announcement on July 22, 2012 during the High Mass the information about the Caucus by the Celebrant;
 (Details:  The celebrant through a briefer will inform the lay-people about the relevance of the project.  State where to find the details and mechanics of joining the caucus and how to get the constant information of the on-going projects behind the caucus.  Unveil the campaign tarp in front of the altar and another one the mass right outside the St. Mary Madeleine Academy.  Design will be published in the blog spot ahead.)

PHASE TWO: PLANNING:

                                           1. Opening of information drive through social networking       suggestions for the projects;
    2.  Call for core group volunteers to be distributed on the following sections:

                                    VI.  ST. MARY MADELEINE’S SPECIAL COMM.
                       
                                    A commission will be created to help in drawing activities and events for her feast day.  This committee will be the one who will look after of how things should be done based on traditions, norms, culture and appropriates pertaining to the patron saints.  The commission will be the watcher for the observance of the correctness of the following:  conduct of the procession, dress, flowers for the carroza, lightings, etc. Note:  These concerns cover the conduct of how her feast day is to be done because we have now the committee that will adhere preservation and conservations of the traditions, culture and arts.  The mandate of how the statue is dressed accordingly should be under the Caucus.  Even the dressing of the Woman’s representation must be done in a very traditional fashion so as to preserve such culture.
WILL SOME CHANGES BE ACCEPTED BY OUR PEOPLE? The changes that will handle the authority over the affairs of this beloved patron saints might create a bat of an eyelash to some or a raise in a brow...but despite differences we believe that we are in the right track...for the GOOD of  our PEOPLE and for the FUTURE!
